    Product Description

    These Type D Insert Nuts provide a strong, permanent thread for soft woods like pine, MDF and plywood. The incorporated flange alleviates splitting and prevents the Insert Nut from being driven in too far.

    To install, simply screw the self-tapping body into the base material using an Hex (allen) key driver. The unique external thread ensures secure fixing and offers strong resistance to pull-out due to torsion or vibration.

    Typical applications include audio equipment, cabinets, chairs, desks and shop equipment.

      Flange on insert is thin and split during insertion into timber. Hole must be at least 10mm dia. for inserting nut. Thicker wall on flange would improve strength.
